Positive obedience

This is another meaningful
way to tell your dog his place
in the family. Remember,
dogs earn access to food,
shelter and other limited
resources the pack has by
being obedient to the leader.
Show your dog that you
understand this by making
him earn access to your
limited resources.
Positive obedience should be
incorporated into your daily
activities. Positive obedience is
obedience that the dog does to
get something ( a pet, a car ride,
a treat, a walk, play with a toy
etc.).
Most people give their dog all
the things he likes for free and
then only use obedience as a
way to control their dog when he
is about to do something wrong.
Additionally, when training
obedience, too many owners
focus on punishment for not
obeying.
Using obedience only for control
or correction can cause a dog to
associate obedience to a
negative experience. The dog
will not want to be obedient if he
is only complying in order to
avoid being punished.
Group class
           Is a 5 week class,  we meet one day per week,  each
class is 1 1/2hr long.
We cover all of the basic obedience commands, heavy
socialization, as well as problem solving any behavior
problems that you may be having.
The cost of the group class is $79. per dog.
Our in-home
           Programs enable you to establish control over your
dog both on and off leash.  The off leash portion of our
program is extremely important since your dog doesn't live
on a leash.
Dogs that learn to listen on leash are only half trained.
The key to solving behavior problems is an understanding
of what motivates your dog to act inappropriately
    plus knowing the proper, effective methods for
eliminating those types of behaviors.
   When training is done with kindness and affection, it can
frequently increase your dogs confidence.
Behavior Modification
Programs should include Private lessons as well as  group
classes. Group classes are the best way for your dog to
learn how to interact with other animals and people.
